5 Innovative Podcasts for Creatives and Entrepreneurs

Latoya Burris

Talk about making a comeback; it seems like podcasts have made a resurgence. Maybe people are just more interested in listening to some great internet radio or, if you’re like me, something about the exercise of listening is sort of therapeutic. Either way I’m really happy with how successful the industry has become for so many creatives and entrepreneurs to expand their own brands and initiatives. So without further delay, I’m going to list my top 5 favorite podcast shows for entrepreneurs and creatives. I hope that you guys enjoy them as much as I do.

The Freelancer with Paul Jarvis

This guy Paul Jarvis is simply amazing. In his own words, “Paul Jarvis is a designer & writer who spends his time at the intersection of creativity & commerce.” He has accomplished many other things such as writing for big brands like Fast Company, Newsweek, Forbes, LifeHacker and BuzzFeed. But he has something that I like to listen to and it’s The Freelancer, a podcast which is a solo show that he hosts once a week. On the show Paul shares his thoughts and experiences on running a freelance business and he usually keeps it short and sweet. This is a great show if you have a short commute. Girlboss Radio with Sophia Amoruso

If you’re a Head…in Charge, then subscribe to #girlboss. Sophia Amoruso is the founder and owner of the fastest growing online retail brand in the country, Nasty Gal. Plus, she’s an author and now the host of her own podcast called #girlboss radio. In each episode, Sophia interviews what she describes as “world-class girl bosses”  who have made their mark in the world. If you’re in need of some girl power, then learn more about #girlboss radio here.
